Small trees for small spaces

At Oregon Small Trees, we specialize in growing small trees for small spaces. These are unique trees for distinctive situations…like small urban gardens, courtyards, roof decks or container plantings--places where standard trees aren’t a long-term solution because of their large eventual size. Our goal is to be able to supply mature, slow-growing trees that look great - and to scale – now, when they are planted, and still look great - and to scale – in 10 or 15 years. This is because the trees we cultivate grow only inches per year, staying small for their entire lives

Grown naturally

Almost all of our trees are allowed to grow naturally. This means that although we do some staking, and some pruning for irregularities, we do almost no candle pruning, nor do we prune to force particular shapes. We want to be able to present trees as they will naturally grow, providing you the peace of mind that comes from knowing that they will require almost no regular maintenance to keep their shape. All of our plants are grown in containers, being potted-up typically 4-5 times over the many years they are here.

Oregon Small Trees is a small, family-owned and operated business started in 1995. We don’t have hundreds of acres of stock, nor dozens of employees. What we have instead is the chance to take special care with every single tree we grow, so that you can enjoy them as much as we have.
